Job Summary:
A reliable, talented and fast learning individual is needed to offer technical customer support which includes hardware and software installations, systems user support and related tasks. A good working knowledge of programming, website development and graphic design will be an asset. You will be one of the first people our customers contact for help with the use of our products, directly addressing customer requests and/or routing them to appropriate company personnel.



IT technical support officers are mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. Individual tasks vary depending on the size and structure of the organisation, but may include:

  • installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
  • monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
  • talking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues;
  • troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults;
  • replacing parts as required;
  • providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
  • following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
  • supporting the roll-out of new applications;
  • setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
  • responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
  • working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
  • prioritising and managing many open cases at one time;
  • rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers;
  • testing and evaluating new technology;
  • conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.


You will need to show evidence of the following:

  • Can write programs in Visual Studio 2013 or higher (C#, MVC, SQL)
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery Note: Every front-end developer is expected to have a proficient knowledge of JavaScript, while most front-end developers should know jQuery.
  • Good understanding of {{Depending on the specific case, a developer should have the knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.}}
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
